Nappanee , Indiana

We've been building homes for over 29 years--we started as conventional stick-builders! In 1969 we developed the engineering and manufacturing system to build indoors to eliminate problems of weather, vandalism, subcontractor's delays or material delays. By building indoors, we have security--what's more, our workforce never needs to wait for a foreman or material. There is always a foreman on the job, as well as an electrician, plumber, design engineer and a quality control manager--always.

"Quality of life starts with a home that reflects your lifestyle. Your new home need not sacrifice quality for price--all Heckaman homes are built with the same top quality. People today demand quality; we build it in every home."

Start at the bottom with a floor that's built to last.

Take a good look at Heckaman's floor. Floor joists are glued and nailed. The floor is 3/4" tongue and groove oriented strand board. Our plumbing supply lines are copper.

Heckaman insures top quality products for a top quality home ....

With names like Andersen windows, Owens-Corning insulation, Merillat cabinets, Moen faucets, Maytag and General Electric appliances, Congoleum Flooring, Carriage Carpet, CertainTeed shingles, Georgia-Pacific, Louisiana Pacific and Weyerhaeuser lumber. The list goes on and on--our commitment to total quality.

Energy efficiency is our standard -- not an add on.

Our energy efforts go so far as to caulk every electical outlet to an exterior wall to stop air infiltration. R-19 (2 x 6) side walls and R-30 ceilings are standard as well as Andersen or Crestline windows. We consider ourselves experts on energy saving.

So when we start building, there won't be any unexpected delays or expenses. That could make a big difference to you! Because we have a production schedule, you know when your house will be built, and you know the price when you sign your building contract. We welcome you to visit our "job-site" in Nappanee where you may take pictures of your home during the manufacturing process. We are proud of what we build, and we want you to be proud of your home and share it with others.
